The current Minister of Communication Technology has been doing great promoting IT as the vital vehicle for the economy recovery. During NIGF 2012 and e- Nigeria summit , she made a reference to the country effort on Nigerian IT Local Content Policy.
Recently, Under her agency, NITDA has been coming up with good initiatives such as Public Key Infrastructure project. For us at CPAA this is a good development towards stimulate growth of cyber security industry.
At least we are having a national road map on securing e-communication through implementation of encryption technology. It is expected to be industry driven while NITDA will only provide supervisory role. You can go to their site and download your copy of PKI policy document.
